Institute offers hostel accommodation for both boys and girls. Presently it can accommodate up to 450 boys and 150 girls. Hostel admissions Application for admission to hostel should be made in the prescribed form attached with the prospectus with an undertaking to abide by the hostel rules.

Admission to the hostel is subject to admission to the Institute and availability of accommodation.

Admission to the hostel is made for one academic session only. For re-admission, fresh application must be made at the end of each academic session.

Limited accommodation is available in the hostel. Admission to hostel shall be on the basis of merit and the distance of the native place of the applicant from Bhilai-Durg.

Admission to the hostel is totally at the discretion of the Institute authorities.

Annual Hostel Fees

As per the Notification given by Ministry of higher education C.G. The old fees structure is also being presented New batch(BE,MBA,MCA) from the session (2010-11) will pay the fees as given below, rest of the existing hostellers will also pay according tp proposed fee

To be paid once in a session only.

# MODE OF PAYMENT OF HOSTEL FEES:   MESS  ADVANCE  (Rs.7000/-) IS TO BE PAID EITHER IN CASH OR THROUGH A CROSSED DEMAND DRAFT FAVOURING   - "WARDEN, BOYS’ HOSTEL, BIT / WARDEN, GIRLS’ HOSTEL, BIT"(as the case may be) PAYABLE AT DURG. 

THE BALANCE AMOUNT (Rs.6200/-) IS TO BE PAID ONLY  THROUGH DEMAND DRAFT  FAVOURING "BHILAI INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY" PAYABLE AT DURG.

• Air cooler and Refrigerator.

MESS:
 

There are separate messes for Boys' Hostels, Old Girls' Hostel and New Girls' Hostel. The messes provide boarding and catering services for the resident student hostellers. Strict check is kept on the quality of food ensuring cleanliness and healthy practices in the mess operation. The messes provides sumptuous meals at nominal charges.

This is run by students in both boys and girls hostel. Mess workers are under their control.
 

MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR:

Sweeper cleans the hostels everyday. White washing is done annually.Electrician and Carpenters are available from 10am to 6pm.The peon and hostel attendants look after any problem which may arise due to nonfunctioning of any item.
 

STUDENTS CLUB:

This is exclusively for boys. It has following facilities :

• Carrom room.
• Table Tennis room.
• Reading room.
• Photography club.
• Intercom connection.
• Chess Boards.
• Enough space for discussions and relaxing.
   

FURNISHING:
 

Each room in every hostel has a chair, a study table, a tea table, a cot, a fan, a bulb connection, two plug points and two shelves.
