The Department of Electronics Engineering offering Undergraduate (BE) with an annual intake of 120 course in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering aims at producing qualified and dynamic engineers in the fast changing areas of Electronics, Instrumentation and Communication Engineering. This undergraduate course has gained paramount social recognition and has proved to be indispensable to industrial establishments.

The department has sophisticated and modern laboratory equipment and has been undertaking several research and development projects in the areas of Digital Signal processing, Intelligent Instrumentation, Secure Communication, Encryption Technology Embedded Systems, VLSI Systems and Electronic Design, Bioelectronics, Microcontroller Based Design etc. The Department has faculty members trained from reputed institutes in India with considerable R&D and Industrial experiences. The faculty members are relatively young and highly motivated. In the academic research, the department contributes quality papers regularly to reputed journals and conferences

The Course of this Department has been accredited by NBA-AICTE for three years. The department has been recognized by the University as the Research Center for carrying out PhD Program in Electronics.

The student placement track record has been excellent with many of them placed in reputed transnational. The results of University examinations have always remain far ahead of its counterparts in other engineering colleges under the University. The Department is constantly modernizing the laboratory facilities with latest technology and research know-how. The department office and all the laboratories are well connected by the institute LAN linking with all other departments and the Internet world outside. A bunch of rarest software are in use by the students and faculty members of the department. Few of them to mention are: MATLAB, TINAPRO, VHDL, Active VHDL, PSPICE, PCAAD, COMSIM, DIALS, MODELSIM, MONOID DSP etc. The department conducts various sorts of co-curricular activities to sharpen the hidden talents of the students.

The department also offers Post Graduate Course (M.Tech.) in "Instrumentation & Control”, the only course of such kind in the State. This program is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and is affiliated to Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University. Instrumentation systems and control engineering play a vital role in any modern industry. We aim at producing talented instrumentation and control specialists who cater to the needs of the modern industries. The PG programme has been meticulously designed to cope with the rapid advances in industrial technology The students under this course are admitted from all sectors like Fresher, Academics, and Industry. An R&D lab has been setup with all modern facilities like NI Labview, ELVIS, EWB, Virtual Instrumentation, LADSIM etc.
