 Information Technology Department has been established to design and implement courses with a twin objective of generating effective professionals and to keep pace with the R& D activities of this fast emerging and changing field of Information Technology. The department offers Bachelor of Engineering degree in Information Technology towards incorporation of knowledge; thinking and latest trends in Information technology. The contents of the course is a balanced mixture of Electronics Engineering, Communication engineering, Computer Engineering and Management oriented topics to enable the graduates of this department them to adapt the cutting-edge technologies being prevailed in the field of engineering & technology. Most of the pass-outs of this department are well placed in IT based software firms in the country as well as abroad.   

The department provides all the necessary facilities to its students and faculty like: Well equipped Computer Center with latest IBM & COMPAQ Pentium Servers & PC's, Scanners, Printers, CD-Writers etc. on a single LAN with broadband internet facility. Various specialized  Laboratories like Basic Electronics Lab, Digital Circuit Design Lab, Communication Engineering Lab, Information Technology Lab, Web Technologies Lab, Multimedia lab, Software Development Lab, Linux Lab, Networking lab, Microprocessor lab etc. provides opportunities to students to work on online projects both in the department and Industry. Departmental library facility caters to the need of the students to surf the library any time during the collage hours
